Foreign Language:
6th grade – get them exposed to foreign language

Special Education:
New – 12:1 classroom (3 – 5)
Implemented a co-teaching model K-5
Special Education Law Changes
    IEPs can now be ammended without having to go to a formal meeting
    Formal meetings are not necessary for re-evals
   
New Program –
Better Tools to assess

Art Program
 - expanding the use of technology via the teacher web sites
 - collaborative lessons (e.g. UB professor in HS, field trips, community based projects)

Math Curriculum is changing next year

Datafolio – this is used with kids with severe disabilities with regards to state testing

Curriculum people are well versed in NYS testing services

Value added – grading a school will be based on improvement more than achievement
