Add Something to the PI Wiki

Please add some web resources to our PI (performance indicator) Wiki. You can get those resources from:

When bookmarking web resources please follow this format:

  • You must use Del.icio.us – if you need an account – click here.
  • When bookmarking:
    • Notes Section: MUST INCLUDE A PERFORMANCE INDICATOR from the NYLearns website. The performance indicator you choose must be one that can be addressed when you teach a lesson with that web resource.
    • Buffalo State Students – please check rubric for more details
    • Tag Section: you must use these tags
      • for:btcactus
      • PIWiki
      • a tag of your choosing
Note: You will not see your bookmarked web resource immediately on the PIWiki because I have to get it from my account (because you are using the for:btcactus tag) and make sure that a performance indicator is placed in the notes section. So, please be patient. If you don’t see it within 24 hours, check your del.icio.us account and see how you bookmarked that resource.
You probably did not tag it right – many people do not type this tag – for:btcactus – properly. They either put a space in between the : and btcactus or misspell btcactus. There can not be any spaces – type or copy/paste the tag exactly as you see it.;-)

I saw on the internet that ISTE standards are technology standards for teachers. I am unfamiliar with these. Can you please tell me more about what I can be looking for, and what I should be putting in my notes section regarding this? Also, I have been looking everywhere for what an iframe is! How do I go about doing that? Thanks!

One more question – should I answer the essential question anywhere in particular?

    Kristin,

Remember – the target is not 3s on the rubric but 2s.

Here is a link to the ISTE standards for teachers – http://cnets.iste.org/teachers/t_stands.html

iframe is is an html code that enables one to have a web site inside of a web site.

If you are interested – here is the code:

The Essential Question does not have to be answered for me – you can just think about an answer. It put that out there to get you thinking.

why would only some of the sites be posted on the wiki? i checked the tags and they appeared correct.

wasn’t clear about the essential question, so you got an email response since that was the way all the other trails have been and nothing said to just think about it.

I have my assignment completed, however if we are not supposed to send you emails, how are you to know that we completed everything by midnight tonight to receive a 3 for the deadline? Do you want a link to my website which has the blog go to page, and del.icio.us bookmarks all timestamped before midnight?

    Shannon,

Don’t fret about the email you sent me. In the other trails I told you what to do about the essential question – all is well ;-)

The web sites will be added to the PIWiki when I add them. I have not added all that has been given to me.

As far as Kristin’s question…When you bookmark things for me in del.icio.us – there is a timestamp associated with when you did it. This is the same for your blog. I can tell by visiting your blog when you posted.

    Excellent Questions ladies!
