Just in Time Learning

Speaking of Just In Time Learning….Have any of you seen this web site -

KidzOnline: http://www.kidzonline.org/TechTraining/ {Kidz Online (KOL) is a high-tech digital video production and distribution organization with unique and robust online learning specialties that span the globe. Many of the tutorials are free.

The tutorials are short, done by kids and get right to the point. I love the idea, but the tutorials lock kids into the “traditional tools” – IE, Flash, Adobe Photoshop – this is good, since they are not going
away, but also bad because kids get trained on these tools.

Anyone want to help organize an Open Source Academy where kids could show off – Gimp, Audacity, Open Office, Ardour, etc. etc.

We need Fair and Balanced Learning!

Sure that sounds great. I know my students would be willing to show off projects made with Open Source software . I also know some students that would create tutorials on Open Source software.
